ABOUT

I came to infrastructure the long way. Before IT, I led crews on civil-engineering sites: deep foundations, motorway earthworks, the working platform of an offshore-wind quay in Brest. That work taught me to run operations where mistakes are expensive and downtime is visible to everyone. In 2019 I switched to computer science, and today I'm a research engineer building and operating redundant infrastructure, because running a system end to end is the part of this job I enjoy most. Next stop: high-performance computing.

KEY WORK

  • Co-supervise the students building it; validate and correct its network and system architecture.
  • Lead restructuring the department's servers onto a Proxmox cluster.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco switches/routers and firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet).

Work-study · Sept 2024 · Sept 2025 · StrasbourgCloud EngineerUniversité de Strasbourg

KEY WORK

  • Finalized an Ansible solution to deploy virtualized OpenStack.
  • Integrated Keycloak SSO with user management for OpenStack.
  • Built automated usage metrics via Ansible into Grafana (Prometheus / VictoriaMetrics).
  • Contributed a merged pull request (#444) to the open-source openstack-exporter.
  • Installed H100 GPUs in new HP servers; took part in the architecture discussions on exposing them (PCI passthrough vs vGPU, Nvidia licensing constraints, and why a container platform simplifies GPU operations compared to VM-based passthrough).

Internship · Mar · Jun 2024 · StrasbourgCloud Infrastructure AdministratorUniversité de Strasbourg

KEY WORK

  • Wrote from scratch the Ansible automation to deploy a virtualized OpenStack, cleanly reinstallable after each test.
  • Targeted Proxmox because the production host couldn't PXE-boot.
  • Managed resources, troubleshot, documented.
